WP6 Microbiome Activity
This WP aims at determining microbiome activity in samples taken from RAS and characterize how different water treatment approaches and variable environmental conditions affect important metabolic functions in RAS. Additionally, here we will determine major environmental parameters that control expression of geosmin synthase and 2-MIB synthase genes and determine conditions that promote activity of sulfate-reducing bacteria and production of H2S.
