WP4 Microbial Metabolites
Our goal is to monitor geosmin, 2-MIB and other potential off-flavor compounds. This is performed during sampling from the industrial partners and from pilot scale freshwater trials, including monitoring of the compounds in water and in fish flesh. Besides that, the goal is to explore time-resolved production of volatile metabolites in RAS by PTR-ToF-MS technology and to characterize organic bromo compounds produced by ozonation of seawater.
